We depart from the city and head for the Constantia Winelands to discover the oldest, most enduring vineyard region in the Cape. The name refers to the valley stretching from Wynberg hill to Silvermine Mountain, Tokai.

You start the day with a drive to Groot Constantia, fit with the finest Cape Dutch architecture. Guests have the option of doing a cellar tour in addition to a wine tasting from the selection on offer.
From here we move on to Klein Constantia where the philosophy is founded on quality rather than quantity, reflected in the wines.

The tour then takes you to Buiterverwachting, established in 1976. The farm is situated on the east-facing slopes of Constantiaberg, Buiterverwachting’s vines produce wines of great complexity with unique aromatic profiles.

Your tour leads you to Steenberg, 'Mountain of Stone' which has a romantic ring, but the original name was even more beautiful: it was called 'Swaaneweide' - The Feeding Place of Swans. The estate boasts a 5-star hotel and numerous dining experiences where you are welcome to have lunch before heading back into the city.
