We depart after picking you up from your hotel for a visit to the Townships . If you have come to see the new South Africa, this tour is a must! An interactive journey into the heart of our rainbow nation.

We start our journey with a visit to District 6 Museum where we are introduced to the horror of Apartheids forced removals.

From here we continue out along the N2 where we visit Khayelitsha – the largest township in Cape Town, we also visit a school and several uplifting social and economic projects, along with a traditional healer in Langa.

This tour will leave you filled with wonder and awe at the resilience, friendliness and humour of the township dweller.

After lunch we make our way to the Clock Tower (Nelson Mandela Gateway) to board a ferry to the Island. The three and a half hour tour includes a return trip across Table Bay (30 minute ferry ride) a visit to the Maximum Security Prison, interaction with an ex-political prisoner and a 45 minute guided bus tour.

The Ferry departs at 3pm, weather permitting, from the V & A Waterfront in Cape Town.

The Robben Island Tour includes:

  • A return boat trip across Table Bay
  • A visit to the infamous Maximum Security Prison
  • Interaction with an ex-political prisoner
  • A 45-minute guided bus ride

You will have the opportunity to explore the Murray's Bay Harbour precinct attractions, such as the Muslim shrine, or kramat, and the Museum Shop.
